How I Practice

Every symptom is information. My work begins with the question behind the question: not just what is happening in your body, but why. That means looking at root causes — nutrition, sleep, stress, hormones, movement, relationships, environment — and how they interact, rather than treating each concern in isolation.

I practice lifestyle-first medicine. Food, sleep, movement, and connection are not add-ons to treatment; they are treatment — with an evidence base that has grown deep enough to earn its own board certification. Where medication or further testing is the right tool, we use it. Where a change you can own yourself is the better tool, we build it together.

Medicine, for me, has always been collaborative. I trained in a program built on treating the whole person, spent my first years in a teaching practice, and have worked in team-based settings ever since. At The UltraWellness Center that means working alongside nutritionists and a coordinated care team — and it means working with you as a partner, not a case.

And I teach — it is how I have always practiced. If you leave a visit understanding your own body better than when you arrived, the visit worked. People heal best when they understand what is happening and why; a doctor's most durable prescription is knowledge.

What you will not find here: cookie-cutter protocols, a product for every problem, or a promise that one thing is the answer. Careful medicine rarely fits on a label.

Questions are how I have always practiced. If you have one, ask it — Ask Dr. Geyer draws on my talks, writing, and teaching to answer, with sources.
